Build your own COREX Stick ll

BY BRETT

Herewith the plans for the Itchy Stick II. Unfortunately I have not created a build instruction but would be happy to assist you if you wish to build one of these fun models.

The Corex I obtained from ECO Signage Supplies in Strydom Park at under R10 per 800x600 sheet and used 3mm for the wings and 2mm for the fuselage.

ECO Signage:
011 791 0386 – Just behind Linex Yamaha on Hans Strydom.

Motor is a Turnigy D2822/14 1450KV with a 7 x 4.5E prop – MAC Models should have a similar motor for a shade over R120 (Alan 072 344 4486)

Battery is a 3Cell LIPO (11.1V)

...with a 30Amp ESC – MAC Models should have for a shade over R130

3 x Servo’s can be plastic gear Hextronic HXT900 (approx R35) but I prefer the metal gear Corona CS-939MG (Approx R70) which are available from MAC Models

Wing strut is a 25x5 spruce beam. Control surfaces I splurged on tapered balsa but could be regular 3x20 balsa or Corex.

Don’t forget some sosati sticks to add stiffness in the tail. Pic attached shows the model with undercarriage but really doesn’t need it. there is no rudder but you could add one if you wish.

If you would like further information or assistance drop me an email: spiers@mweb.co.za
